A murder of crows

Eh, nothing much to talk about, so i've decided to talk about a random topic. In this case, it's about the collective nouns of birds.

The title is one such good example. A murder of crows. Poor things, I know crows are big and black and most likely cruel and humourless.(come to think of it, they're not humourless. I still remember a terrifying incident i had with a crow when i was five.
I was sliding down a slide when a crow flew past, brushing its wings against my face. Being young and essentially timid, i screamed in horror and forgot that i was halfway down the slide.
I landed on the ground on my butt. Almost in tears, i look up at the crow on its perch on the tree, looking extremely amused. No doubt it had had taken alot of pleasure in torturing a yooung and innocent child. But never mind that, it's ancient history anyway.)

So ya, i was saying how the crows are ill-labelled and probably misunderstood.(although their sadistic nature is clearly shown in the way that crow took perverse pleasure in scaring me.) But all in all, i do not think they are murderous. In fact, the collective noun of murder would be more suitable for eagles and hawks and the other raptors.

Another misunderstood species are the ravens. They are known as an unkindness of ravens. How sad to be branded as unkind from the moment you are born! Let's take this theoratical scenario as an example.

Theoratical scenario:

*A raven chick: Mummy, let's go pick up the worms from the ground since they're stuck in there! (Baby raven remember?)

Raven mummy: No no, we are known as an unkindness, we must live up to our collective nouns!

Having explained her rationale, raven mummy then proceeds to fly down to the ground and eat up the worms.

See how the ravens are forced to live up to their collective nouns? No wonder peopple associated ravens with death or misfortune. It's probably damn difficult to appear to be as cheerful as a larkwhen you are forced to be unkind so as to identify with your collective noun. ( Hears the sadistic crows manical laughter everytime they see the pitiful and misunderstood ravens.)

Speaking of larks, a group of larks are known as an exaltation of larks. How is it that larks are known to be as that? Were people exalted when they spotted larks?

Here's a lark. Exalted?

Sigh, misunderstood birds, kinda lets us understand why the earth is such a horrible place?

And dun get me started on the geese. The whole gaggle of them! What the hell is gaggle anyway? Is it even a real word? Is it related to babble? Do geese babble? Maybe it's goggle, maybe geese likes to goggle at stuff. ( Can just imagine the gaggle of geese goggling at the sadistic crows, the kind but forced to be unkind ravens and the larks which seems god-like[exalted means that right?].)

For your information, bears are known as a sloth while moles are known as a labour. At least these collective nouns represent them more accurately? Lol.

Sorry about the nonsensical post, i'm kinda in a mood to type something but i've nothing to go on.
